MISMO result card is customized and uses ‘Advanced Proficiency Mapping’ that helps the students and the organizations to underpin a candidate’s strengths and weaknesses in different areas of Mathematics. This latest technology analyzes the answers of one candidate in comparison with others, and produces a comprehensive outline of his solid areas. It also highlights the areas which need more practice and concept-clearance.
- On individual level, it provides a self-realization for further improvement of candidate’s proficiency and expertise in the subject.
- On organization’s level, it highlights the areas which need more attention for better performance overall.
MISMO achievement levels and scores are assessed on the basis of difficulty index of question items. The difficulty index data is derived from the student population and reflects the actual proficiency level of participants and schools. Each question item, therefore, carries different weightage in regard to difficulty index, standard deviation and point biserial for grade-specific populations. Objective questions in the Olympiad are assessed through computer-aided methods and data analysis software including ICR technology.
MISMO result card offers candidate’s performance report in a wider sphere. It means that the candidate comes to know of his position not in his city, but also in his region, and the whole country. He also receives the indication of his placement if other contestants from his school network are also competing (irrespective of their appearing city) for the same grade.
